Win Traprain Law (9/2)
Very good track record here at Ayr, ran a good 2nd place in this last year of 3 pounds higher (soft) Has ran well last two times and most recently ran a very good 7th in the Grand Annual at the Cheltenham Festival (2m, good to soft) Won over hurdles on good ground and the drop in grade could see him excel here.
Each-way Homme Public (6/1)
Nice hurdle win at Doncaster in December (2m3f, good to soft) and also a good 2nd back at Doncaster (2m,good) last month behind a Grade 1 novice runner up at Aintree. Blinkers go back on and the 1 other time he used them he was a good runner-up at Bangor over hurdles. 3 wins from 8 over fences and could have more to offer back chasing.

Win Pic Roc (6/1)
Has more 2nds then connections would want and was soundly beaten at Cheltenham last month, creditable seconds at Exeter (2m3f,soft) and Newbury (2m7f, soft) is effective on good ground and should be in the mix back in calmer waters.
Each-way Eyed (13/2)
Very progressive since joining Hughie Morrison from Paul Webber. Has won 3 times (2m5f,3m on good/good to soft) has been revitalised by cheekpieces and should be bang there again.

Our selections for the race
Win Kabral Du Mathan (10/3)
Made it 3 out of 3 when winning at Kempton in November (2m, good to soft) has been runner-up next 2 runs in much more competitive races (1m7f/2m, good to soft/soft) this 5 year old is unexposed and could improve for a top yard and is firmly in the mix here.
Each-way Dysart Enos (8/1)
Was prolific early in the her career and was 6 out of 6 before a good 3rd in the Greatwood at Cheltenham (2m,good) in November. Soundly beaten since including in the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham (2m4f) should have a big part to play back in a handicap and also back down in trip.

Win Lavida Adiva (9/2)
Won a decent Aintree Handicap (2m4f, good to soft) in December. stepped up to 3 miles to win a listed hurdle at Kelso (good to soft) 3 weeks ago by 9 lengths, Effective on good ground. Handicapper only put her 6lbs which could be very lenient.
Each-way Rockola Vogue (7/1)
Good-ground Bumper winner who landed maiden hurdle honours at Hexham (2m4f,soft) in October. Won at Musselburgh 3 weeks ago (2m4f, good to soft) on only her 2nd handicap start and if she jumps better and this trip finds more ability she could be bang there for a yard in very good form.

Win Surrey Quest (11/1)
6lb lower here then last year where he only lost a nose to Macdermott (soft) Has been competitive on his 2 completions this season. 3rd in the Edinburgh National at Musselburgh behind Magna Sam who reopposes here. Cheekpieces put back on and he could defo go well in this again.
Each-way Henry's Friend (14/1)
Looked liked he would stay beyond 3m2f but was pulled up in the NH Chase at Cheltenham (3m6f, heavy) Heavy ground could be the reason he ran below level. won by 6 lengths at Newbury over 3m2f on good to soft ground in December. 8th at Cheltenham when he was disadvantaged by a slow start. cant be dismissed yet.
Each-way Magna Sam (22/1)
Won both the 2023 and 2025 Edinburgh National at Musselburgh (extended 3m7f, good to soft) in February. Ran in this in 2023 and finished a very good 5th when running a big race where he led 2 out, 4lb lower here today despite winning easily in first time cheekpieces 10 weeks ago, Serious contender each-way.
